1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Layoutr, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of service
Layoutr is a browser-based floor plan tool that lets you upload a floor plan image, set a scale, and place furniture at real-world dimensions. The service is available in three tiers:
- Without an account — full access to the core tool directly in your browser, no sign-up required.
- Free account — same core tool with basic account features.
- Pro subscription — unlimited furniture pieces, save & load functionality, priority support, and the ability to submit feature requests.
Layoutr is provided by Van Dijk Ontwikkeling (KvK 42036550), the Netherlands.
3. Your account
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Payments and subscriptions
Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on each renewal date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Stripe customer portal, accessible from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to Pro features until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. You will be notified at least 30 days before a price change takes effect, giving you the opportunity to cancel before being charged at the new rate.
5. Your data
Your floor plans and project data are stored locally in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. You retain full ownership of all content you create. We do not claim any rights over your floor plans or designs.
Because project data exists only in your browser, we cannot recover it if you clear your browser storage or switch devices. We recommend exporting your projects regularly.
6. Acceptable use
You may use Layoutr for any lawful purpose. You may not:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the service.
- Use the service in a way that could damage, overload, or impair it.
- Use automated scripts to access the service without prior written consent.
7. Intellectual property
The Layoutr application, its design, and all associated software are the property of Van Dijk Ontwikkeling. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that scale calculations will be suitable for professional or construction purposes. Always verify measurements independently before making purchasing or building decisions.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Dutch law, Van Dijk Ontwikkeling is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service, including loss of data stored in your browser.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. If mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence grant you rights that cannot be contractually waived, those rights are unaffected by this clause.
